Children love to splash in puddles, explore woods, climb, slide, discover and run around feeling free and that is something we work with in order to provide meaningful, exciting experiences every day at Ashfield Outdoor Nursery. Our focus is on using nature’s playground to offer fun, adventure and learning – delivering positive educational and life experiences which allow children to explore, discover, play and create through self-directed activities supported by our passionate team of childcare professionals.
Create Play’s Outdoor Nursery in Llandrindod Wells is the first of its kind in Wales. We are bringing the joy of outdoor play to children across the region.

At Create Play Outdoor Nursery we provide daycare for children aged 2 – 6 years with a dedicated and supportive team in a natural outdoor environment that encourages children to explore, adventure and learn through play.
Our Nursery is located on Cefenllys Lane in Llandrindod Wells. Our main site is set within an acre and a half of beautiful outdoor space with a diverse range of play experiences and resources. We aim to spend the majority of our time outside but have a small, but well equipped and warm wooden cabin for downtime, naps and use in the most extreme weathers.
We have cherry-picked aspects of the Playwork Principles and the Playwork curriculum, alongside the Forest School Ethos to create an exciting fusion for your child’s care and development. We provide a broad and balanced curriculum to support the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of each child. We aim to assist each individual to reach their full potential and develop life-long learning skills. Equally important to us, we support a range of holistic experiences promoting mindfulness, celebrating life and enjoying the moment.

Ashfield Outdoor Nursery is located at Ashfield Community Enterprise in Howey, near Llandrindod Wells in Powys. We are easy to get to from all local towns and villages, including Rhayader and Builth Wells.
